“ Confusing to find as sign is different name. Excellent selection of fresh seafood , fresh vegetables, and cooking ingredients. Charged be 25 cents for a bag... excessive... 10-15 cents is reasonable. Plenty of parking. Always crowded, bring your own bags. ”

“ We go to a lot of Asian supermarkets, but this is one of the cleaner and less busy ones. While we're used to crowded aisles and food that seems like it has been on the shelves for years, Ming's has neither. What looks like a small and inconspicuous market from the street is actually pretty large inside. And while it may be a little more expensive than the nearby C-Mart, the selection and cleanliness make up for it a lot. Some of the pros: - The instant noodle aisle has some of the best selection. They have Doll Noodles, which are my favorite brand, and a bunch of different flavors. They also have an entire aisle of unflavored dry noodles for when you want to make your own broth. - The dumplings and frozen dim sum items are also very tasty - they have normal sized as well as mini dumplings! - The vegetables have always been fresh and crisp, and they have a lot of different varieties of mushrooms. - I haven't gotten much fresh seafood or meat, but the frozen seafood is very tasty and tastes pretty good. - The fresh refrigerated noodles are also very good - bouncy and tasty - They had 12 eggs for 99 cents! - They have a good variety of not only Chinese but also Japanese and Vietnamese groceries - Clean clean clean - Not crowded not crowded not crowded - Big parking lot right next door Cons: - Their fish ball section is a bit small. They have a lot of prepackaged options, but I usually get my own with the scoop and fill up my own bag. - Their salty snacks also aren't that plentiful. They have some good options but it shares an aisle with the sweet snacks All in all, this is one of my preferred Asian markets - I'll always stop by when I'm in the area! ”

“ I usually only stick to reviewing restaurants, but had to make an exception for this supermarket. Growing up, I would always look forward to going to the Chinese supermarket with my parents, and Ming's brought that nostalgia. Everything's super cheap, there's a vast selection of fresh produce, meat, snacks, literally everything, and the store's quite large. It's far more variety than H-Mart, for even better prices too! PSA: they only accept card for purchases over $10! ”

“ We haven't been here for a couple of years but stopped by as we were in the area after getting takeout in Ctown and found that CMart on Lincoln St still closed. We found the supermarket to be spacious and clean, and offer far better produce (quality and selection) than Hong Kong Market in Brighton, and far better pricing than Hmart (Burlington). They have a large fresh fish section, and there were good deals on veggies. Will be coming back for swimming fish next time! ”

“ Most importantly, there is a parking lot (large) and street parking nearby! ... Not a Chinatown market. Very large store, even though the entrance is so small that you may miss it if you drive too fast. The entrance is called "New York Market" or something, not Ming's. Anyway, the inside is huge. Fresh foods and stored goods are two sections. Well organized, and less chaotic than the C-Market across the street (which is also worth a look). Pricing-wise, it's very good. Certainly much better than H-Mart in Burlington. Fresh seafood seemed better here than the C-Market across the street. Though it varies item by item. Just as an example: on the same day, the live Jonah crabs are 2.68 in C-Market, and 2.00 here. Would definitely revisit, and worth a 25 min drive from the suburbs. ”

“ Out of convenience, my parents may do their grocery shopping here at Ming's Supermarket, sometimes sharing one of their prepared foods rice plates for lunch first before hitting the aisles. When I had to pick up some balls as my contribution for a hot pot get together, my mom suggested I head over here. In the freezer section I found balls of beef, fish, shrimp, but the one that caught my eye as something a bit different was the curious sounding Fish Pudding balls $3.59. Funny enough, it turned out to be a favorite of one of my hot pot companions - fish balls with a meat center - and I found them quite tasty myself! The shrimp balls $2.49 were satisfying as well. Their ball portions came in counts of perhaps 12-20 balls which was perfect for our small party of 6! Remembering the fish noodles from Kaze Shabu Shabu, I took a walk through the raw area of the market and managed to find Fresh Fish Paste $4.29/lb in the refrigerated section by the prepared foods counter, plastic wrapped in a styrofoam tray. We spooned this into plastic ziplock bags, cut out the corner tip and squeezed it into the hot broth. Yum! Another hot pot companion happily identified the fish paste as having been made with her favorite fish - one with tiny delicate digestible bones - and wanted to know where I had bought it. I later found out that the fish paste my mom buys are found in plastic tubes in the freezer section - yeah, that wouldn't have worked for same day consumption... I lucked out finding this fresh stuff! I was tipped off during the our hot pot meal that Jia Ho Supermarket, located rather centrally below Emperor/Empire Garden, has the freshest meat in Chinatown, my guess being that their more convenient location keeps things moving. And rumor has it that H Mart may offer a greater variety of hot pot meat balls, both in larger bags, and in a pick your own bin for not much more money. ”
